B.B. King fans have waited decades for a clean, official Montreux archive. That wait ends on November 20 2026. BMG will release The Montreux Years, a 2LP/2CD/HD digital set that pulls together previously unreleased live recordings from B.B. King’s appearances at the Montreux Jazz Festival between 1982 and 2000. Nearly all of the performances have never been issued officially before.
The timing matters. 2025 marks the centennial of his birth. The release lands in the 2025-2026 centennial window, when collectors are actively hunting for first-time material.
