Short answer: both. JPNW vs INDW is used for two completely different sports on September 18 2026 at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya. One is women’s cricket, the other is women’s soft tennis. Same abbreviation, different session, different venue, different sport. That is why search results get messy.
If you are looking for the cricket clash, it is India Women defending their Asian Games gold against Japan Women. If you are looking for soft tennis, it is India Women’s team event opening campaign against Japan Women. Check the sport tag before you set a reminder.
Why JPNW vs INDW Appears Twice on the Same Day
The Asian Games schedule compresses team events across multiple sports in the same window. Cricket and soft tennis both feature Japan Women vs India Women on September 18. The code JPNW vs INDW is sport-agnostic. Broadcasters and score feeds use it verbatim. Fans end up on the wrong stream.
It is not a mistake. It is a scheduling overlap.

Cricket is played at the outdoor cricket facility in Aichi. Soft tennis is an indoor court sport at the designated tennis complex. One starts in the morning JST, the other in the afternoon. Time zone conversion matters a lot. IST is 3 hours 30 minutes behind JST.
