MSNOW is not MSNBC. It is not a cable channel. It is a journalist-made relay that showed up in September 2026 when the White House locked out a handful of outlets for seven days during a China trip. The name stuck because it was messy, fast, and intentionally confusing. That confusion is the whole point of this story.
The blackout started on Sept 26 2026. The press pool was still moving with Trump. The banned reporters were not. They needed notes, photos, and quotes out of the room in real time. MSNOW was their workaround.
