Sheriff Country is finally getting the second season fans have been waiting for, and the biggest hook isn’t just more crime in Edgewater. It’s the power flip at home and at work. Morena Baccarin is back as Sheriff Tessa McCreary, and this time she’s literally the boss of her real-life husband Ben McKenzie on screen. That dynamic alone is driving the search volume for Sheriff Country Season 2 news.
The spin-off from Fire Country launched on CBS as a Sheriff’s office counterpoint to the prison firefighting drama. Season 1 set up Tessa’s rise and the messy partnership with her husband Mike. Season 2 leans into that tension.
